Dogs adoption terms and conditions

Alborada starts a suitability study for every case of adoption request. This study consists of a first contact by telephone to get some information about the animal experience of the future owner. Also the aim is to know the reasons to adopt an animal and the characteristics of the family and home. Moreover the possible adoptive family will be asked how to face different situations (holidays, a newborn child, other pets…).

After the first contact, some members of Alborada will visit the place where the animal is going to live and will interview the members of the family. We will check that all of them support the idea of adopting a new family member and also that it does not exist any danger for the animal (balconies, windows, gardens, pools…).

After some days, Alborada will eventually prepare a contract form to be filled in and signed by the new owner. By this document, the new owner takes the compromise to observe the Animal Protection Law and he /she promises to keep the animal and not giving it in adoption without permission of the Association. Also the new owner takes the compromise of giving information about every possible mishap and will accept phone calls or visits to check that the animal is perfectly adapted to the new environment. Otherwise the family would be given advise to solve any problem.

All the given animals are wormed/deloused, vaccinated (vanguard7 and rage), castrated and chipped. They are also blood tested for leishmania and filariae (negative) in the current year.
